Ford PH adds formally Mustang Mach-E to local stable

MANILA:  As promised by Ford Philippines Managing Director Pedro Simoes last June, Ford Philippines began its electrification journey with the all-new Mustang Mach-E.

Unveiled alongside the Territory Hybrid, the latest addition in the Blue Oval’s lineup for its pony line is a fully-electric crossover offers modern driving technology sans emissions while keeping the Mustang’s design cues and driving experience.

“The Mustang Mach-E is one of the most exciting vehicles Ford has ever introduced,” Simeos  was quoted as saying.

“This purpose-built all-electric vehicle is unique, unmistakably a Mustang, and with a leading-edge driving range coming at exactly the right time for the growing Mustang enthusiast community in the country,” he added.

Vehicle specifications

Here’s what Ford Philippines is offering to those who are eyeing to get their hands on the all-new Ford Mustang Mach-E.

The American automaker’s latest offering has the following measurements:

Overall dimensions (length, width, height; in millimeters [mm>)	4,713 x 1,881 x 1,627
Wheelbase (in mm)	2,984

Serving as a nod to the Mustang lineage, the vehicle’s front fascia wears quadrangular-shaped grille with active shutter and the iconic horse in the middle but without the holes seen in the fastback version.  Aside from that, the all-new Ford Mustang Mach-E also sports flowing lines — a stark contrast to the pony car's current version. 

Other features that can be found on the electrified small sport utility vehicle are the following:

• LED illumination system (front and back)

• Panoramic sunroof
• Button-activated doors
• Power-folding heated side mirrors
• Rain-sensing wipers
• Power tailgate

For its interior, the all-new Ford Mustang Mach-E features an uncluttered cabin covered mostly leather portions that is complemented by the following amenities:

• Two digital screens (15.5-inch Sync 4A infotainment systemwith wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster)
• Tilt-telescopic steering column holding the multi-function steering wheel
• Auto-dimming rearview mirror
• 10-way power-adjust front seats
• 60:40 split-folding rear seats 
• Front and rear center armrests
• Wireless smartphone charging pad
• Bang and Olufsen sound system with subwoofers
• Electronic parking brake

Loading capacity at the rear portions grows from 402 all the way to 1,420 liters —  with an additional 80 more thanks to its front trunk (‘frunk’) storage.

Powering the newly-revealed model are two permanent magnet synchronous motors configured in all-wheel-drive layout. The powertrain has the capability to dish out

The all-electric mill gets its juice from the 88-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion nickel manganese cobalt oxide battery that lets the vehicle cover up to 550 kilometers (based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure standards).

Further, the all-new Ford Mustang Mach-E comes with three drive modes namely:

• Whisper: softens steering and throttle response for a smoother and more composed ride
• Engage: balances comfort and performance for everyday use
• Unbridle: sharpens handling and acceleration for a more dynamic drive

To make driving easier, the crossover has a one-pedal drive system that allows the driver to accelerate and decelerate using only the accelerator pedal. Lifting off the pedal activates regenerative braking, which slows the vehicle and recovers energy for the battery.

Customers will be more connected to its Mustang Mach-E, thanks to its FordPass Connect system.

With it, owners can manage their all-new Ford Mustang Mach-E right from their mobile devices. Features include Remote Start / Stop /Climate, EV Charging Status, Battery States of Charge, Charge Session Details, Start / Stop Charging, Target Charge, Departure Times, Preferred Charge Times, Charge History and AC Charge Rate.

Other safety, security, and driver assistive technologies outfitted in the all-new Ford Mustang Mach-E include:

• Nine airbags (Driver, passenger, front center, front side, rear side, and curtain)
• 360-degree camera with split view
• Anti-lock braking system with electronic force distribution and electronic stability program
• Traction control
• SecuriLock passive anti-theft system
• Collision Mitigation
• Reverse Brake Assist
• Blind Spot Information System with Rear Cross Traffic Alert
• Lane Keeping System with alert and aid functions
• Adaptive Cruise Control
• Driver Impairment Monitor

Pricing, hues, charging package
Retailed in a sole variant option called the Premium All-Wheel Drive Extended Range, the all-new Ford Mustang Mach-E is priced at P3.499 million with the following color options:

• Glacier Grey
• Star White
• Shadow Black
• Velocity Blue
• Grabber Yellow

The vehicle — which is packaged with a free seven-kilowatt (kw) wall box charger and 3.5 portable charger — will be available at select Ford dealerships starting next month:
