Geely to introduce 7-seater Crossover Okavango in PH

The local distributor for Chinese automotive brand Geely has announced that they will soon be competing in the crossover category in the Philippines as they are set to bring the Okavango in the country

Describing the Okavango as a “Wonderfully Distinct” vehicle, Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) President and CEO Mikihisa Takayama said that the model would be a game-changer in its classification.

According to SGAP, the Geely Okavango is the coming together of the best features of an SUV and an MPV into a single seven-seater crossover.

“The Okavango is definitely a game changer for both the SUV and MPV segments – exquisite and well thought off in terms of design, space, and technology,” Takayama said.

“We are definitely giving our customers a luxurious, uncompromising, and “Wonderfully Distinct” ride,” he added.

Coined from the North-western Botswana’s vast inland delta—which was recognized as UNESCO’s 1,000th World Heritage Site and one of the seven natural wonders of Africa—the Geely Okavango has a host of features that (as Geely claimed), will “set it apart from current models in the segment.”
