Grab PH champions drivers and delivery partners in ‘Buwan ng Tagapaghatid’

November is a special month for Grab Philippines, the country’s leading delivery and mobility company. This month, Grab’s local arm celebrates Buwan ng Tagapaghatid, an initiative that acknowledges the invaluable contributions of Grab drivers and delivery partners through month-long activities culminating on November 28.

Buwan ng Tagapaghatid is part of Grab Philippines’ broader range of programs and initiatives dedicated to its driver and delivery partners.

“Our Grab drivers and delivery partners have played an important part during the pandemic, and they will play a more vital role in our economic recovery. Through our platform, they continue to answer the needs of our countrymen through our delivery and ride-hailing services; and with the various programs and initiatives of Grab, we continue to help them (drivers and delivery partners) with their daily necessities, and help them develop their livelihood. I am thankful for the trust, dedication, and cooperation of our Ka-Grab, rest assured that Grab will continue to listen and help its partners,” said Grab Philippines Country Head Grace Vera Cruz.

This year, Grab Philippines is making its Buwan ng Tagapaghatid more exciting and meaningful for its partners. It started the month with GrabExperience, a program that allowed Grab Philippines leaders to become delivery partners for a day.

Each leader was teamed up with a delivery partner throughout the journey where they get first-hand on-ground experiences, allowing them to develop tailored solutions to further support Grab’s driver communities through their respective roles.

The company’s initiative also includes the launch of Kwentong Tagapaghatid, Biyahe Serye Comics, and 5-Star Support Film which highlights the stories of drivers and delivery partners from the perspective of merchant-partners and consumers.

Renowned photographer Shaira Luna also took photos of select drivers and delivery partners who were portrayed as modern-day heroes. The pictures can be seen on LED billboards along major thoroughfares across Metro Manila.

In addition, Grab is also working with other companies like Mastercard, Jollibee, and Caltex to drive community-wide participation and recognition for its driver and delivery partners for this year’s Buwan ng Tagapaghatid.

On November 28, for every tip made using Mastercard debit or credit card, Mastercard will match the amount — essentially doubling the tips received by the partner on that day. Furthermore, partners delivering Jollibee orders from November 28 to 30 will get free Jolly spaghetti.

Exclusive promo codes and perks also await Grab drivers and delivery partners which they can use for meals and other necessities. Freebies from Grab’s brand partners also await drivers and delivery partners in 5-Star Ka-Grab Pitstops.

Capping the month-long celebration is the Grab Papugay Awards. Here, top-performing drivers are recognized for their hard work the past year, plus, they get the chance to take home exciting prizes such as laptops, flatscreen TVs, and motorcycles.
