Here are the iconic cars on display at the 2023 Manila Auto Salon

The 2023 Manila Auto Salon is a venue for all things automotive. Not only will visitors get to see some of the latest cars but also iconic nameplates from days gone by.

On that note, we check out some of the notable cars on display at the 2023 Manila Auto Salon.

Euro-spec Corolla

The Toyota Corolla is the Japanese carmaker’s best-selling nameplate. Sometime from 1995 to 2000, the Aichi-based brand made Corolla models released in Europe and Australasia.

Noticeable are their two rounded headlamps, turn signals, and fog lamps.

On display at the 2023 Manila Auto Salon were two Euro 1 Toyota Corolla models.

Honda Civics

We simply can’t talk about old cars without mentioning the ever-popular Honda Civic.

The ongoing auto show houses a fifth-generation Civic hatchback with a Spoon-inspired build, complete with the iconic yellow, blue, and black livery that became famous in the 90s.

Likewise, there is also a “stock” fifth-gen Honda Civic sedan, which was called the Ferio in other markets.

Classic Suzuki Jimny

Another notable car on display at the 2023 Manila Auto Salon is a classic third-generation Suzuki Jimny that looks off-road-ready.

It looks like it is dressed up with a custom-built bumper designed to ensure a good approach angle, a winch, and a set of aftermarket wheels shod with grippy tires.

Toyota Land Cruiser

And while we’re talking about off-road machines, we were able to spot Toyota’s go-anywhere car, one that’s fitted with just two doors.

The unique Toyota Land Cruiser appears to be from the 70-series family. It is equipped with bull bars, huge fog lamps, window visors, step boards, and chunky tires.

Toyota Levin

Another gem came in the form of the Toyota Levin wearing a stylish yellow finish.

Believed to be a TE27-series Toyota Corolla Levin, the car on display at the 2023 Manila Auto Salon boasted the perfect combination of boxy edges and sexy contours, a design element popular in the 70s.

Mini truck

The 2023 Manila Auto Salon also plays host to the Mini pickup truck. The model saw production from 1961 to 1983 and offered two seats and a decent cargo bed for moving light loads.

Volkswagen Beetle

Unlike any other car in the auto expo, the Volkswagen Beetle we spotted is bedecked with unique artwork done by Marcel Antonio.

Nissan Fairlady Z

Another classic, a Nissan Fairlady Z is making an appearance at the 2023 Manila Auto Salon.

The said showcased car dons a green paint complete with TE37 tires, wide overfenders, and a kitted front end.

2023 Manila Auto Salon

The 2023 Manila Auto Salon is located in the SMX Convention Center in Pasay. Those looking to visit will have until Sunday to drop by.
