Here are the possible specs of MG 4, Marvel R for PH market

Morris Garages (MG) is ready to compete in the Philippine electric vehicle segment as it will unveil its two latest offerings today: the MG 4 and Marvel R.

The two new energy vehicles (NEV) were part of the lineup that was previewed to MG’s dealer partners in the country earlier this year.

 shall be seen in the metal at the “EVeryday Extraordinary” test drive event that will be held inside Bonifacio High Street Activity Center in Taguig City.

The brand’s distributor — now under SAIC Motor Philippines — said that the MG 4 features the Modular Scalable Platform while the Marvel R sports the Evolution Design language. Both the hatchback and the crossover come with sleek lines.

While the exact details of the Philippine-spec models have yet to be shared after the launch today, here’s what the customers may see in the two electrified nameplates.

As seen in the United Kingdom market, the MG 4 EV could have an electric motor and battery setup that will allow the vehicle to cover 520 kilometers (km) up to 727 km — depending on the trim that the marque’s local arm will unveil for the country.

On the other hand, the Marvel R (offered in Europe in three trims) will likely be powered by an electric tri-motor all-wheel-drive with a 70-kilowatt hour battery.

Advanced driver assistive technologies that can be found on both MG 4 and Marvel R’s local versions could include active emergency braking with pedestrian and bicycle detection, lane keep assist with lane departure warning system, traffic jam assist, intelligent speed limit assist with traffic sign recognition, intelligent high beam assist, adaptive cruise control, driver attention alert, blind spot detection, lane change assist, and rear cross traffic alert.

The aforementioned offerings will be available for test drives starting today until Sunday. Those who will go to the event will get a chance to win amazing prizes, such as gaming consoles and official MG merchandise.
