Hyundai Displays 2nd Gen Creta at the Auto Expo 2020

Dubbed the “Perfect SUV” by Hyundai, the Creta is a  five seater subcompact crossover SUV with great features. Debuting in 2014, the Hyundai Creta has remained more or less the same throughout most of its production run, receiving a couple of face lifts and updates every now and then. For its 2020 model year however, the Hyundai Creta has just been updated to its second generation, and that’s what Hyundai exhibited at the Auto Expo 2020. The front fascia of the Creta has been completely restyled, now sporting a more modern look. The newly redesigned LED headlights are framed by the new boomerang design LED daytime running lights. The grille has also been updated, now featuring a cascading grille design instead of the three-slat design on the previous models. The rear end of the Creta has also been updated, now sporting a new split tail lamp design and a LED light bar across the back. From the sides, the Creta is seen equipped with 17 inch diamond cut alloy wheels. Although the Creta displayed at the Auto Expo 2020 had its doors locked, the interior is reported to have a 7 inch touchscreen AVN system with navigation, and a semi digital instrument cluster. There is also a Full Automatic Temperature Control (FATC) with Cluster Ionizer that helps automatically maintain the desired cabin temperature. Hyundai also managed to fit a large panoramic sunroof on the car. The cabin features a black and beige theme, and the seats are finished in different materials, depending on the variant. The Creta is available with three different engine options: the 1.5 liter petrol engine, the 1.5 liter diesel engine, and the 1.4 liter turbocharged petrol engine. All three come mated with a six speed manual transmission, and an automatic transmission option. CVT for the naturally aspirated petrol engine, 6 speed automatic for the diesel, and a 7 speed dual clutch transmission for the turbocharged petrol unit. There are a lot of safety tech features that come standard with the Hyundai Creta, including 6 airbags, Anti Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Start Assist Control, a reverse camera, and an electrochromic mirror.   Hyundai will launch the 2020 Creta in India in March 2020.
