Jeep just announced the upcoming limited Wrangler Rubicon FarOut edition.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What exclusive appointments will come with the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon FarOut edition?

Per Jeep, the Wrangler Rubicon FarOut will come with exclusive content such as the “Diesel 3.0L” hood graphic, “3.0 D” badging, a set of unique 17-inch aluminum wheels, and black leather seats with red accents.
  • When will the order books be opened for the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon FarOut edition?

Jeep said that the Wrangler Rubicon FarOut edition can be ordered starting November.
  • According to the Stellantis-owned automotive brand, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon FarOut edition is based on the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon four-door and comes with exclusive commemorative appointments like the “Diesel 3.0L” hood graphic, “3.0 D” badging, a set of unique 17-inch aluminum wheels, and black leather seats with red accents.

Other equipment that further accentuates the limited-edition model includes an all LED lighting setup, a satin black grille, body-colored fender flares, and all-weather floor mats.

Additionally, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon FarOut edition features third-generation Dana 44 heavy-duty front and rear axles, a 3.73 axle ratio, and the Rock-Trac two-speed transfer case with a 4.0:1 low-range gear ratio.

Jeep adds that the Wrangler Rubicon FarOut edition also comes with the Cold Weather Group, Safety Group, Trailer-Tow, and Heavy-Duty Electrical Group packages as standard.

The 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon FarOut edition is available for ordering starting November 2022, with deliveries beginning in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Despite being touted as a limited-edition model, Jeep did not say how many of these units will be produced.

Its arrival, explained Jeep, will mark the end of the EcoDiesel era. Like many of today’s forward-looking automotive brands, Jeep is slowly phasing out its internal combustion engines (ICE) in favor of a more sustainable means of powering its vehicles.

“At Jeep, we are always listening to our customers and driven to improve on our legendary 4x4 capability. The Wrangler Rubicon FarOut special edition is our tip of the hat to the EcoDiesel technology on Wrangler,” said Jeep North America Senior Vice President (SVP) Jim Morrison.

And while Jeep is pulling the EcoDiesel mill off the Wrangler’s powerplant lineup, the Ohio-based 4x4 specialist’s iconic sport utility vehicle (SUV) will still be available with three ICE and one plug-in hybrid engines: the 2.0-liter turbo, 3.6-liter V-6, 6.4-liter V-8, and the 4xe plug-in hybrid.
