Lasan goes to Geely PH

Geely Philippines brought into the company an industry veteran that will head its vehicle sales team.

In a statement, Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) said that Ferdinand Lasan shall serve as its General Manager for vehicle sales — days after Naoyuki Takeda assumed the role as the company president and chief executive officer last January 1.

The aforementioned move, SGAP explained, solidifies its leadership team and showcases the brand's “commitment to continuous improvement.”

To note, Lasan brings with him more than two decades of experience in the automotive sales and banking industry.

“I am very optimistic about the future of the brand with the able support of additional team members who are the perfect pieces to complement our capabilities in various aspects of Vehicle Sales. This new and revitalized Vehicle Sales team will reach greater heights for the brand in 2024 with the support of our dealerships nationwide,” he said.

Per Geely Philippines, it has rolled out 24,645 vehicles to buyers nationwide.

Meanwhile, the SGAP president (who replaced Yugo Kiyofuji) looks forward to a better year for Geely.

"As we embark on the journey of the upcoming year, we are mindful of the challenges that may arise. However, with unwavering confidence in the leadership of Ferdie, we believe that our eager and dedicated Vehicle Sales team is now well-equipped to face these challenges and lead us triumphantly towards achieving our goals.
