President Ferdinand Marcos Junior has issued an order, which prohibits public officials and personnel from using signaling or flashing devices.

That said, unauthorized and improper use of signaling and flashing devices by government officials and employees will result in penalties based on applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Moreover, the said directive orders the Department of Transportation to review, evaluate, and update existing policies and guidelines relating to the improper use of such devices.
To note, former President Benigno Aquino III ordered a similar policy under his administration.
