    Likewise, the interior of the higher Maxus G50 variants feature leather seats, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, and an automatic A/C. The base model gets fabric seats, a standard radio, and manual air-conditioning.

    Power comes from a 1.5-liter engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission or a 1.3-liter mill mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

    Another segment contender at the same price point is the Toyota Avanza. All variants have LED headlamps while the upper variants get front fog lamps, mudguards, and an LED high-mount stop lamp.

    Interior amenities include fabric seats, an instrument panel with a digital trip meter, and either a urethane or leather steering wheel depending on the variant. The higher trims get a digital display audio unit while the lower ones get a decent 2DIN audio head unit.

    Under the hood is either a 1.5-liter engine mated to a four-speed automatic transmission or a 1.3-liter powerplant that comes with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic.

    In terms of safety, the Toyota Avanza features airbags and seatbelts, ABS with EBD, a wireless door lock system, as well as an alarm and an immobilizer.

    The Toyota Avanza is currently offered in five variants priced from P743,000 to P1,077,000.

    Mitsubishi Xpander

    The Mitsubishi Xpander is also a good choice for those in the market for a dependable MPV. It’s equipped with a new front grille, bumper design, and LED headlights. Its rear is also equipped with LED combination taillamps and a rear garnish.

    Inside, the Mitsubishi Xpander packs leather or fabric seats, a leather or urethane steering wheel, as well as a seven-inch infotainment system or a 2DIN audio unit.

    Across the board, the Mitsubishi Xpander is powered by a 1.5-liter engine mated to either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic.
