Microsoft Launches Forza Horizon 4 by Pitting McLaren Senna vs Three Motorcross Bikes
Microsoft Studio is marking the launch of its "Forza Horizon 4" simulation racing video game for the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs by releasing a video of a race it organized at the famed Goodwood Hill Climb course, pitting the game's cover car, the McLaren Senna hypercar, against three 450cc motocross bikes.
Driven by one of McLaren Automotive's professional drivers, and with a top speed of 335 kph, the McLaren Senna took to the course while the three motocross bikes took the unconventional but direct route up the hill, with a few jumps and tricks thrown in.
"Forza Horizon 4" is the latest partnership between Microsoft and McLaren Automotive, the most recent of which was for the "Forza Motorsport 5" which featured a McLaren P1 on the cover and saw the car debut on stage at E3 2013. For "Forza Horizon 4," the McLaren Senna was the obvious choice as it is the most extreme road car McLaren has ever built and the latest model in the Ultimate Series. Named after former McLaren driver and three-time Formula 1 world champion Ayrton Senna, production of the McLaren Senna is well underway, with over 50 customers having taken delivery of the hypercar.
As for the game itself, it is the sequel to 2013's highly-successful open-world "Forza Horizon 3" racing video game. For the 2018 game, players can collect, modify, and drive over 450 cars, and play solo or team up with friends to race, stunt, and explore their way through Great Britain.
