Motul-backed Team Mugen emerges victorious at Fuji Speedway

Motul announced that Team Mugen, a race team it is sponsoring, has emerged victorious at the recently held Super Formula Championship at Fuji.

In Team Mugen’s arsenal of automotive fluids was the Motul MS-P 0W-30 engine oil. The said product was developed with Honda and Mugen over several years. The said lubricant helped push the Honda HR-417E engine, the French brand pointed out, by improving the air tightness of the piston rings and allowed better power delivery at lower speeds.

Further, the race crew used other Motul products such as the company’s Hi-Performance Oil MS-R and Hi-Performance Brake Fluid.

Team Mugen fielded the number 15 Honda open-wheel formula car with Liam Lawson behind its wheel. The Kiwi was able to extract the most out of the engine for the entirety of the race and come from second place on the grid to eventually take a dominant win.

As Lawson continues his title charge, Motul will continue to support the young Kiwi and the unstoppable Team Mugen in their championship bid by providing racing-grade lubricants for the remaining three rounds of the championship.
