Motul, Mugen to introduce Honda-optimized high-performance motor oils

French automotive lubricant company Motul and renowned tuner Mugen have teamed up to introduce a line of motor oils optimized for Honda vehicles.

An online virtual launch was staged for Motul and Mugen’s forthcoming products. Present were Honda City Club Philippines (HCCP) Vice President Marieta La and HCCP Marketing Head Stella Tolentino, Motul Asia Pacific Head of Pillar (PCMO) and Motorsports Lead Jay Joel Ong, as well as Motul Asia Pacific Technical Training Manager Che Wey Wong.

The MS-A 5W-30 and MS-A 5W-40 are high-performance 100-percent synthetic lubricants endorsed by Mugen. These engine oils are specially designed and formulated by the Aubervilliers-based oil company for Honda road-going cars and are said to be suitable for new-generation engines.

The abovementioned lubes use track-derived technology as Motul has worked closely with Super GT and Super Formula Motorsports.

These oils can withstand very high temperatures allowing them to better protect the car’s power plants. This makes it ideal for those who like to take their vehicles out for long trips during the weekend and even for those who take their rides out on the circuit.

In addition, the oil change interval for the said Mugen-endorsed Motul engine oils is up to 10,000km.

Both the Motul MS-A 5W-30 and MS-A 5W-40 will be available in the Philippines later this year.
