PH-spec Toyota Yaris Cross SE is model’s top-of-the-line trim

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has introduced the newest crème-dela-crème variant of the Yaris Cross.

Called the SE trim, the model’s latest option is said to offer the “perfect blend of urban style, cutting-edge features, and Toyota’s renowned reliability, all while continuing Toyota’s legacy of Hybrid innovation.”

 “With its fuel-efficient, eco-conscious performance, the Yaris Cross SE is ready to conquer the city streets, cruise highways, or explore far away winding roads, offering power and sustainability in one sleek package,” the TMP said in a statement.

Updates a-plenty

The Toyota Yaris Cross SE (which replaced the S variation as the top-level variant) boasts variant-specific fitments namely:

• Front and rear skirts
• Roof spoiler
• Refined garnishes on the bumpers, back door, fog lamps, and grille

Meanwhile, additional creature comfort come in the form of:

• Digital rearview mirror with front and rear Digital Video Recorder
• Additional ambient lighting
• A digital signal processor for its audio
• Upgraded horn

Under the five-seater crossover’s hood is still the four-cylinder, 16-valve, dual variable valve timing with intelligence 1.5-liter hybrid gasoline engine paired with a continuous variable transmission that can dish out churns of up to:

Maximum output (in horsepower)	109
Peak torque (in Newton-meters)	121

It is also fitted with a lithium-ion battery and a 36-liter fuel tank.

Since it is the model’s top-spec version, the Toyota Yaris Cross SE’s also carries technologies under Toyota Safety Sense such as pre-collision system, automatic high beam, lane departure alert, lane tracing assist, and adaptive cruise control.

Further, it also comes with active safety features like electronic brake distribution, anti-lock brake system, vehicle stability control, and hill-start assist control.

The Yaris Cross SE is being retailed for P1.69 million.
