Pilipinas Shell thanks everyday heroes in National Heroes Day celebration

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation (PSPC) recently honored everyday Filipino workers to celebrate this year’s National Heroes Day.  

The oil giant launched the “Salamat sa mga Bakunadong Bayan (Thanks to the Vaccinated Heroes)” initiative wherein those inoculated can take advantage of special deals and discounts whenever they present their vaccination cards at Shell stations.

From August 23-September 12, these vaccinated motorists can enjoy discounts on Shell fuels and Shell Select, limited-edition merchandise using Shell Go+ points, and even free one-liter of fuel with every purchase of select Shell Lubricants.

According to Pilipinas Shell FuelSave Brand Manager Vanessa Ejercito, the limited offer (made in partnership with Ingat Angat Bakuna Lahat) is targeted to make day-to-day journeys easier, safer, and more enjoyable with Shell’s Bakuna Benefits.

“Let us all do our part to keep moving the Philippines forward by getting vaccinated,” she added.

Meanwhile, Shell Mobility Operations Manager Tabbee Bagadion-Puertas lauded the station attendants during the “Araw ng Service Champion” — held nationwide alongside National Heroes Day. These frontliners, referred to as Shell Service Champions, were commended for their dedication and positive attitude.

She also encouraged station personnel to protect their health as a way of also protecting others especially their loved ones: “‘Wag kakalimutan na habang inaalagaan niyo ang inyong mga customer, dapat inaalagaan niyo rin ang inyong mga sarili. Importante na magpabakuna laban sa COVID-19.” (But while you're taking good care of our customers, don't forget to also take care of yourselves. It is important to be vaccinated against COVID-19.)

Earlier this year, PSPC launched the Good Jab nationwide vaccination campaign for its 17,000-strong station attendants manning more than 1,100 Shell Mobility sites across the country.

The aforementioned program, which is eyed to promote the safety of their frontline staff and customers, supports the education and vaccination of its station staff with their respective local government units through incentives and monitoring of their vaccination status.

“Shell remains committed to improving customer experience and advocating safety as a shared responsibility with initiatives like Shell's Bakuna Benefits and Good Jab! to continuously serve all of Shell’s partners and customers,” PSPC concluded in a statement.
