Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank) reiterated its partnership with Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP), which makes the latter’s hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) offerings easier to acquire to more customers.

In a statement, PSBank shared that its collaboration with the country’s leading automotive distributor for the “Say Hi to Hybrid Auto Loan” promo will help make eco-conscious mobility more accessible to Filipinos.

Below are three reasons why HEV is considered the future of mobility and sustainability.

PSBank shared that hybrid vehicles have an efficient energy management system as they are powered by both electric motor and gasoline engine that automatically shifts as to what powertrain is needed at a given speed. “This technology improves the engine and motor performances by monitoring its movement, allowing the vehicle to make an efficient and timely transition as it adapts to cruising conditions,” PSBank noted.

Eco-friendly

The banking firm also said that HEV owners produce less carbon emissions when using the vehicle. Apart from that, PSBank said that Toyota collects the discarded battery cells to be fully recycled and extracts rare materials for reutilization.

Cost-effective

Further, PSBank said that using an HEV cuts down fuel spendings as it only requires partial support when accelerating or recharging the electric motor. “The stored power from the battery increases the fuel’s mileage, decreasing the need for constant refills.”

To note, the "Say Hi to Hybrid Auto Loan” promo  is offering lower rates and free one-year comprehensive insurance for those who will get a Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8V Hybrid or a Corolla Altis 1.8V Hybrid CVT.

“People, especially the youth, are now taking the steps to lead a more eco-conscious lifestyle, and we at PSBank are more than happy to support this movement as much as we can," PSBank Senior Vice President and Marketing Division head Emmanuel Tuazon was quoted as saying.

"We hope that with this partnership to promote HEVs, we can empower Filipinos further in aiming for a more sustainable future,” he added.

With the existing partnership, TMP Assistant Vice President for PR and Communications Elvin Luciano expressed excitement in engaging with more customers “who aspire for a more sustainable mobility.” “We would like to appeal especially to the younger generation of drivers who will be leading the drive for a better future,” he added.
