Radical Motorsports presents SR10 XXR

Hot on the heels of the successful launch of the SR3 XXR, Radical Motorsport has presented the SR10 XXR — an upgraded version of the SR10.

A motorsport country club and track day staple, over 100 Radical Motorsport SR10s have been sold to customers since its introduction in 2020. Per the race car manufacturer, 70 percent of the automobiles it produced were purchased by US-based customers.

“The SR10 range has continued to push the boundaries of modern engineering capabilities with the same pure Radical driving experience. Our fastest-selling model in our history, and a favorite with US (United States) customers in particular, we’ve been working hard to cherry-pick the best XXR model line upgrades and adding them to our best-selling model, the SR10,” said Radical Motorsport Chief Executive Officer Joe Anwyll.

“The last two years have been great to witness, seeing the SR10 be so well received in the track day and country club markets. As well as some impressive styling updates to the bodywork, the addition of the ‘central fin’ and front louvers have proven to increase the SR10 XXR’s usability even more, allowing drivers to extract even more of the car’s mind-blowing potential. Not only is this a very exciting announcement for all potential new Radical Motorsport owners, but also to our loyal client base, as we thought it was only right that we make these fantastic updates available to them, too,” he added.

Radical Motorsport equipped the SR10 XXR with a 2.3-liter turbocharged engine made by Radical Performance Engines. On paper, Radical Motorsport said that it makes 419 horsepower (hp).

Further, Radical Motorsport equipped the SR10 XXR with improved aerodynamics. Noticeable are its new front louvers and LMP-inspired “central fin.” The former improves the SR10 XXR’s speed and cooling capabilities and also reduces understeer.

Additionally, the SR10 XXR gets new lightweight alloy wheels and high-intensity front DRL light clusters, all as standard.

Meanwhile, customers looking for further weight reduction, a brand-new carbon splitter and diffuser package is available at an added cost.

It’s reliable, powerful, and delivers performance like no other car we’ve produced before, while remaining an approachable machine for track day enthusiasts. We’re proud of the lower running costs that come with the SR10 XXR’s long-life 425 bhp (419hp) engine, and the elements that produce real-time data, creating the ultimate driver’s car. Because of this, we made sure to not forget any of the organic SR10 DNA that is already so popular when we set about optimizing it further,” commented Radical Motorsport Group Sales and Marketing Director Dan Redpath.

Radical Motorsport said that current SR10 owners can enjoy similar benefits offered by the SR10 XXR through an “XXR Evolution Pack.” This will include the XXR’s improved aerodynamic upgrades on the front clam, as well as the new wheel design, optimized cooling, and revised set-up, and the carbon fiber bodywork items as an option.

The updated SR10 XXR is available to order now through Radical Motorsport’s global dealer network, operational through over 30 dealers in more than 20 countries. Production will begin in “spring” (from March to June) of 2023.
