  • What is the Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation's reason in allowing sub-400cc motorcycles to use the CCLEX?

According to CCLEC President and General Manager Allan Alfon, the move was “to make the facility more inclusive and accessible to residents” as well as “answer a strong clamor from motorcycle users.”

“We encourage motorists to have the CCLEX RFID installed on their vehicles, including motorcycles, in preparation for the electronic and automated toll collection by June,” he added.

According to CCLEC, its Bridge Management Board (BMB) — which is made up of CCLEC president and the LGU-grantors — passed a resolution last February that allows motorcycles with 125cc to 399cc power mills to also use the expressway.

    CCLEX

The company said that the CCLEX has a design speed of 60 to 80kph and a navigational clearance of 52 meters.

The same statement shared that sub-400cc motorcycles “will be allowed to pass the expressway by July this year.”

CCLEX will use an all-electronic toll collection system. To give more time to motorists to have the RFID sticker installed on their vehicles, cash payments will be accepted in the meantime. The full electronic toll collection will be implemented by June 2022.
