The McLaren 570S GT4 Race Car Is More "Enhanced" for 2020

Following its most successful season since its launch in 2019, the refreshed McLaren 570S GT4 race car for 2020 now has an optional brake kit that enhances better focus during long-endurance driving.

The kit's development has already undergone it final test, and was already installed on both 570S GT4 competing entries in the Gulf 12 Hour event. This new alternative is accepted for racing from 1st March 2020, and is on hand for racing from March 1, 2020. It also has a factory-fit option, and can be ordered as a retrofit item.

The endurance braking system integrates bespoke suspension uprights together with a new 6-piston front caliper design joined with uprated brake pads. These features allow excellent braking consistency and trimmed down deterioration.

The 570S GT4 was introduced for Customer Racing teams during the 2017 season, with 2019 its most successful year of race wins and podium finishes where it competed. The 570S GT4 model became the most successful GT model for McLaren, bagging 140 podium finishes by the Customer Racing teams during the season in Scandinavia, UK, and North America.

Boasting of rigid core and optimised occupant safety levels, the 570S GT4 offers its popular lightweight carbon fiber MonoCell II chassis--a first in the GT4 lineup. The race car has an impressive seven-speed seamless-shift transmission and a 3.8-liter twin turbo V8 M828TE engine similar with its cousin, the 570S Coupe.

The McLaren 570S GT4 is priced at £180,000 (PHP 12 million) starting January 1, 2020, and includes the previously optional removable quick-release steering wheel. Meanwhile, the Sprint Power Upgrade expands engine power to 532-hp, and can exploit the capabilities of the 570S GT4 outside of the official racing regulations. It's priced at £600 (PHP40,000).

The McLaren 570S is a sports car designed and manufactured by British car maker McLaren Automotive. Unveiled at the 2015 New York International Auto Show, it's a full competition specification GT4 car that’s ready born ready to race anytime, anywhere.

The 570S boasts of MonoCell II--an ultra-tough, lightweight light carbon fiber chassis. Its 3.8 liter twin-turbocharged McLaren V8 engine is paired with a seven-speed transmission.

The car's design and teardrop shaped cockpit focus on optimizing aerodynamics. Meanwhile, its rear takes inspiration from the McLaren P1, and also lends the slim LED tail lights and diffuser styling from the flagship sports car.
