Vin Diesel: Fast and Furious is Doing an All-Female Spin-off

The F9: The Fast Saga might be nearing cinemas this May 22, and there's already a rumored Fast 10 that's already in down in the pipeline, but did you know that there's also a female spin-off that's currently being planned as of this moment?

According to Vin Diesel (who created the spin-off)--the script for the "all-female" film will come next month.

It can be remembered that the first spin-off of the film was Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbes & Shaw. Starring Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Luke Hobbes, the film was a box office success, earning a cool $760.4 million worldwide.

That spinoff, however, veered quite differently from the Fast and Furious storyline, going more "sci-fiesh" with the addition of Idris Elba's character, genetically engineered, super soldier, Brixton Lore.

In our opinion, creating the female spin-off is really long overdue. Over the years, the Fast and Furious series has created a roster of powerful women in the likes of Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez), hacker Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel), Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster), Magdalene Shaw (Helen Mirren), and even the film's ultra-evil, female arch-nemesis in the likes of cyber-terrorist Cipher (Charlize Theron), who, by the way, will reprise her role as Cipher in the forthcoming F9.

The untitled movie will be written by Nicole Perlman, who also wrote the first Guardians of the Galaxy. She will most likely be joined by Lindsey Beer, who revised the Chaos Walking YA franchise, and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, who worked on the rebooted Tomb Raider and Captain Marvel.

And speaking of Fast and Furious, Honda dealership Yonkers Honda in New York is willing to pay someone $900 to watch all nine films in the "The Fast and the Furious" franchise PLUS the "Hobbs and Shaw" spin-off.

Yonkers will pay $100 for every movie watched, and will also give the lucky winner a box set of all the films and a $50 movie theater gift card (for the F9 movie), snacks and drinks. The competition, which will happen ahead of the premiere of the newest film in the franchise, "F9", will require the winner to chronicle the entire movie experience on Facebook and Twitter and fill out a worksheet for each film.

Unfortunately, only 18 year old, U.S. citizens are entitled to join the contest. Still, you might want to tell this to someone you know who fits the bill. For all you know, you can both split the prize money and go watch a rom-com chick flick next time.
