Volkswagen PH to Display Volkswagen Santana GTS, Volkswagen Lavida at Mabuhay Germany 2019

Volkswagen Philippines joins the festive Mabuhay Germany 2019 at the Bonifacio High Street Central on May 25 and 26, 2019.

The bi-annual Mabuhay Germany trade fair, which opens from 10:00 AM to 12:00 midnight, is the flagship event of the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc (GPCCI) that showcases the best that German industry, products, and culture can offer.

And when it comes to the auto industry, Volkswagen epitomizes German automotive design, engineering, and craftsmanship.

Volkswagen Philippines, a key partner of the trade fair, will set up a display area featuring the Volkswagen Santana GTS and Volkswagen Lavida under the Iconic Bridge area of the fair.

In keeping with Mabuhay Germany 2019's theme, "New Heights!", the Santana GTS and Lavida represent the higher level of ownership and driving experience for young, hardworking, and upwardly mobile Filipino professionals and their growing families.

The Santana, considered as your "best first car," is taken a notch higher with the Santana GTS. With its wagon body type and flexible interior configuration, the Santana GTS offers the styling, comfort, power, space and design touches ideal for young families, young professionals, and Volkswagen owners who would want to level their drive up.

The Santana GTS 180 MPI AT SE offers more power with its 1.5-liter, four-cylinder, in-line gasoline engine with BlueMotion Technology mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, generating maximum power output of 108 hp at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 150 Nm at 4,000rpm. The interior features and comfort amenities include leather seat material, cruise control, and sunroof. Safety highlights include Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP) and Rear Park Distance Control (PDC). The Santana GTS on display is equipped with a Blaupunkt Infotainment System.

The Lavida, on the other hand, takes occupant safety and comfort to higher levels for corporate managers and their families, who still seek that power and passion in their drive both behind the wheel and their office desks. The Lavida also fulfills its place as that second car in the garage, ready to complement the roles of other Volkswagen vehicles as the need arises.

The Lavida 230 TSI DSG SE is equipped with a 1.4-liter, four-cylinder Turbo Fuel-Injected petrol engine with BlueMotion Technology mated to a seven-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) transmission, capable of 128 hp at 5,000 rpm and 225 Nm of torque at 1,400 to 3,500 rpm. The interior features and comfort amenities include leather seat material, cruise control, Climatronic air conditioning, Push Start, and sunroof. Safety highlights include the ESP with Brake Assist, Electronic Differential Lock, Anti Slip Regulation (ASR), hill hold control, and front and rear PDC. The Lavida on display is accessorized with a Blaupunkt Infotainment System.

The periodic maintenance service (PMS) interval schedule for both Santana GTS and Lavida is just once a year, or every 10,000 kms, whichever comes first. This is more convenient and more cost-efficient compared to the industry-standard 5,000-km PMS interval.

The warranty coverage is comprehensive. Aside from the three-year or 100,000-km general warranty, whichever comes first, Volkswagen Philippines also offers a three-year warranty for paint and another three-year warranty for through-corrosion of the main steel body structure.

The family-friendly Volkswagen display booth will also have mascot Wolfi welcome all visitors with balloons from 3 PM to 9 PM on both days of the trade fair. Freebies of Volkswagen items will also be given away.

To complete that Volkswagen premium motoring lifestyle experience, a guest lounge/hospitality area will be offered to visitors and test drives of the Santana GTS, Lavida, and the rest of the product roster will also be available at the nearby Volkswagen BGC showroom.

Like visitors to Mabuhay Germany 2019 experience "New Heights!" in German culture, food, and industry, so too, do Filipino motorists when they visit the Volkswagen Philippines display area and BGC showroom as they see what makes a Volkswagen, a Volkswagen.
