Entry-level car for both people and cargo
The Toyota Avanza is a basic MPV and I use it both for my family and moving cargo. There’s lots of usable interior space. The interior elements are meant more for durability than fancy. The 1.5-liter engine performs well with decent load. But the 4-speed transmission is a tad dated and the effect shows during pickup. The electric-powered steering wheel feels really light. It’s an entry-level car in its segment and don’t expect too much in terms of tech. The safety equipment is impressive with ABS, impact beams, and child seat anchors. Overall it’s a nice car to drive in the city.
