About Volkswagen Philippines

Following a long hiatus, Volkswagen, one of the largest automakers from Germany, returned to the Philippines in 2013 and handed over the responsibility of the distribution, aftersales services, and other operations to Automobile Central Enterprise, Inc., which is a member of the Ayala Group of Companies under AC Industrials.

Volkswagen Philippines currently offers five different models to the Filipinos in the form of the Tiguan (Crossover), Lamando, Santana, and Lavida (Sedans), and the Santana GTS (Wagon). Also, the German automaker will soon bring in the T-Cross in the country as well.

Going by the reports of CAMPI, TMA, and AVID, Volkswagen Philippines could only trade 550 units throughout the year 2019, which was a decline of 59.65% as the German automaker sold 1,363 vehicles in 2018. Due to the steep decline, Volkwagen Philippines had to do with a mere 0.13% of market share in 2019.
