Caltex Launches ‘Fuel Your School’ Campaign in Cagayan Valley

The Caltex Fuel Your School campaign, launched by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), has now made its way to Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

For the entire month of June until July 31, Caltex will donate PHP1.00 to the campaign for every liter's purchase of Caltex Techron fuels in participating Caltex stations in Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Kalinga, and Ifugao.

With the campaign, Caltex hopes to raise PHP3 million in funds, which will be used to help the region's 30 highest-need public schools and provide them with modern teaching tools.

Caltex will mobilize its 22 stations in Cagayan Valley and CAR to raise the target amount in two months.The total amount generated by the campaign at the end of July will be divided among the 30 schools. Organizers estimate that a total of 40,622 public high school students, along with 1,638 of their teachers in Cagayan Valley and CAR, will benefit from the 2019 edition of Caltex Fuel Your School campaign.

With no minimum purchase required, Caltex guarantees that every time a customer buys any of its three fuel products under the Techron name (Silver, Platinum and Techron-D), one peso will go directly to its fuel-to-donate scheme.

Motorists can still use discount cards from Caltex partners such as HappyPlus, Robinsons Rewards Card, or MVP Card to load on points while helping their local public high schools.

“Education is everyone’s concern, not just DepEd’s or the students’ or the teachers’,” said CPI Manager for Corporate Affairs Atty. Raissa Bautista “Education is a vital pillar of a country. A country that’s on the road to progress is a country that has a progressive education. So, let’s drive learning. Let’s fuel your school.”

Since 2015, Caltex Fuel Your School has helped 118 public high schools, 4,781 public high school teachers, and over 1.477 million public high school students in Metro Manila, Davao, Bicol and Ilocos region with the needed teaching supplies and equipment. Caltex hope to replicate these achievements in Cagayan Valley.
