KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What is Cleanfuel Race 97?

Race 97 is Cleanfuel's 97 Research Octane Number (RON) fuel alternative in the Philippines.
  • How much is the price difference of Race 97 compared to Premium 95?

Race 97 is only P0.50 higher than Premium 95.
  • The independent oil firm in the Philippines said that the new product is aimed to provide motorists a more affordable 97 Research Octane Number (RON) alternative in the local market, allowing motorists to save up while maximizing the performance of their vehicles’ engines.

“The introduction of Race 97 is a milestone for Cleanfuel’s product range as we provide more value for our loyal customers. Because of our lower price offering for quality high octane fuel, more customers can now experience the benefit of higher octane fuel for their vehicles,” Cleanfuel Group of Companies President and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Jesus Suntay said.

According to the company’s top executive, a higher octane fuel allows an engine to have a balanced and stabilized combustion needed to maximize vehicle performance.

For his part, Cleanfuel Director Marco Atienza believed that the introduction of Race 97 is timely since more private cars and two-wheels are now back on the road.

“This is the best time to launch our newest gasoline, the Race 97. Last year, the local auto industry reached a combined 33 percent growth compared to 2021 overall sales. This is a good indicator of our timing,” Atienza was quoted as saying.

He also noted that the Race 97 is only P0.50 higher than the price of the company's Premium 95 offering.

“The best part of buying this product is the cost effectiveness of getting a premium fuel load. Now, here’s the best deal. If you are a VIP card holder of Cleanfuel, all your Race 97 fuel consumption will automatically earn double points value. From price, points, and higher grade fuel ratings, the Race 97 is the best deal in the marketplace.”

Cleanfuel said that currently the latest pump product offering is available at the company’s select stations: Kamias, Katipunan, Mayon, White Plains (all in Quezon City); Pioneer (Mandaluyong) in Malabon; Quirino in Manila; Silang in Cavite; Olongapo in Zambales, and Rosario in La Union.

“Initially, we rolled out the Race 97 in selected Cleanfuel stations to allow our customers to experience our new product and reinforce our company mantra of Quality Fuel for Less. In the next quarter, they will see more Race 97 in Cleanfuel stations,” Suntay explained.
