COVID-19 Scare Pushes Suzuki and Ford to Launch Their Models Online

Due to the increasing number of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the country, Suzuki and Ford are taking steps to ensure that their guests' safety remains a priority during their product launches. So instead of the usual product launches inside a venue, both companies have resorted to using the digital platform to introduce their newest vehicles to the public. COVID-19 virus Suzuki Motors recently announced that they will do an "online reveal" of the all-new XL7 and S-presso instead of their planned product launch of these models on March 18 in Marriott Grand Ballroom. Meanwhile, Ford Motors also announced that they will launch the newest Ford Everest Sport on their Ford Philippines’ Facebook page on March 18, Wednesday, at 12:00 noon.

About the COVID-19 Virus

COVID-19 virus strain The Coronavirus disease 2019  is an infectious disease caused by the virus strain severe acute respiratory syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).Its global spread began for the first time in 2019 and has developed into the 2019–20 Coronavirus pandemic. As of March 12, 2020, there have been 52 confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the Philippines, with two confirmed deaths directly because of the virus. Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Muscle pain, sputum production, and sore throat are some of the less common symptoms. Most cases cases result in mild symptoms, although some progress to pneumonia, multi-organ failure, and even death, especially if the patients have preexisting conditions, such as hypertension, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
