MANILA: Denza — the product of the collaboration between BYD and Mercedes-Benz in 2010 — has arrived in the Philippines.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • When will BYD Philippines formally launch the Denza brand?

The brand will have its official launch within this quarter.
  • What are the two BYD technologies that Denza's offerings will have?

Denza Philippines said that its products will carry the DiSus system and the e3 platform.
  • In a statement, BYD Philippines Corporation (the premium sub brand’s official distributor locally) shared that the premium new electric vehicle’s entry in the country is meant to expand the group’s footprint outside the mass market by prioritizing a “shift toward craftsmanship and passenger-centric engineering.”

“The future of premium mobility isn’t defined by excess — it’s defined by intelligence. Nowadays, it is technology that truly drives elegance. And at Denza, we see new energy vehicles as an opportunity to rethink how power, comfort, and sustainability can work together in a more thoughtful, human way,” BYD and Denza Philippines Country Head Adam Hu said.

It can be recalled that  BYD Asia Pacific General Manager for Sales Liu Xieliang bared the brand’s entry to the Philippine market in November 2024 — saying that it might arrive in the last quarter of 2025.

According to the BYD Group's Philippine subsidiary, Denza’s entry in the country highlights the former’s “continued commitment to expanding the country’s access to next-generation mobility solutions.”

    Other stories:

Per Denza Philippines, its official launch — as well as the unveiling of the initial offerings — is set within the opening quarter of the year.

“What we’re building with Denza is a long-term vision for premium mobility — one where innovation serves the driver, sustainability is seamlessly integrated, and every vehicle reflects a smarter way forward,” Hu concluded.

Meanwhile, Denza Philippines noted the key features of its forthcoming offerings that elevate driving experience are:

    • DiSus
    • e3 platform

Per the BYD Philippines-steered firm, DiSus delivers ride comfort without sacrificing handling. On the other hand, the e3 platform powers confident performance, precise control, enhanced safety, and exceptional maneuverability.
