DPWH upgrades Manila North Road

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced that it has completed the development of the section of Manila North Road in Barangay Pennsylvania-Parian Road and Barangay Sevilla.

    In addition, the DPWH La Union 1st District Engineering Office has also installed solar street lights and two additional pedestrian lanes to protect pedestrians crossing Barangay Pennsylvania-Parian Road.

    A total of P19.6 million was allotted for the improvement of the roadway under the 2022 General Appropriations Act (GAA).

    Motorists and commuters along Manila North Road in San Fernando City, La Union will now enjoy smoother and safer travels, thanks to the updates done to the roadway.

    “The improved road can now handle the present traffic volume in the city, allowing for faster transportation of farm products and promoting local economic development,” said Tan.
