‘Fast & Furious 10’ to be released by April 2023

Universal Pictures has set a release date of the 10th installment in the Fast & Furious franchise.

In a recent article published by New York City-based monthly entertainment magazine Entertainment Weekly, Fast & Furious 10 is set to be released (although no particular platform has been cited) on April 7, 2023.

Lead actor Vin Diesel told Entertainment Weekly that filming of Fast & Furious 10 would start in January of next year with a possibility of both the 10th and 11th chapters being filmed back-to-back.

Released just two months ago, the long-awaited Fast 9 was pushed back because of the global pandemic. That said, filming both upcoming movies could ensure that the franchise will see no more setbacks.

Fans could expect Fast & Furious mainstays like Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, and Sung Kang, to reprise their roles in Fast & Furious 10 although we’re not yet sure whether John Cena will return to play as Jakob Toretto in the upcoming movie.

Dominic and his gang’s next adventure is still to be revealed although Fast 9’s after-credits seem to lead towards Deckard Shaw and Han Lue. According to Entertainment Weekly, Kang said, “I think there's just one word — Gisele,” referencing Gal Gadot's allegedly deceased character. “All roads lead to Gisele,” added Kang as he comments on what could be an upcoming showdown between Jason Statham who also starred on the franchise’s spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw.

Statham’s partner, on the other hand, will not be returning to the franchise after Dwayne Johnson had misunderstandings with Diesel.

“I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they do that will be without me,” said Johnson.
