Take a Peek at What the New 2018 Ford F-150 Has to Offer

2018 Ford F-150 Lariat

America’s favorite pickup is back with a new version for 2018, and it looks better than ever. Considering that the truck made the big switch to a military-grade aluminum body and boxed steel frame back in 2015, saying that this year is a vast improvement from its most recent iterations is not an easy thing to say, but we’re saying it anyway.

The 2018 F-150s add power, convenience, and smart technology to the 2017 models. This year also features new and upgraded gas engines, plus a massive 3.0-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel engine. Other enhancements include design tweaks and a bevy of new tech goodies including those that address infotainment, driver assistance, and even productivity.

The latest line of F-150s are available in seven different models, namely, XL, XLT, Lariat, Raptor, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. As an added enticement, each model comes with its own unique grille design allowing for easy identification between different 2018 Ford F-150 models. Most of the grilles come with two horizontal stainless bars that help create the illusion that the truck is wider than it really is.

At the back, a newly embossed tailgate makes sure the pickup grabs attention whether you’re coming or going. On the lower trims, the tailgate has a creased trapezoid shape with ‘F-150’ emblazoned across the lower part of the tailgate. The upper trims do not bear the same insignia, but the entire tailgate is covered with an upscale and eye-catching applique.

Access to the cargo bay just got easier thanks to the addition of an integrated tailgate step and loading ramps. This feature is available in all seven classes. A Dynamic Hitch Assist is another standard feature.

F-150 buyers get to choose between two headlight sets, with LEDs made available for the higher trims. The rear taillights are also upgraded as well. While the old version look like a single seamless light, the upper and lower portions are now split in the 2018 model. Side mirror mounted spotlights add brightness to evening trips.

Below is a breakdown of the features to expect in this year's F-150 model:
