Geely Motor PH gets Lynk & Co PH distributorship

GUANGZHOU: Geely Motor Philippines (GMP) is set to steer Lynk & Co in the Philippines come fourth quarter of 2026—ending United Asia Automotive Group, Incorporated’s (UAAGI) stint as the latter's local distributor. 

In a statement, the mother company’s local subsidiary shared that the transition is part of its “One Geely” strategy, which aims to integrate the group’s operations while strengthening its presence in key markets.

The company shared that Lynk & Co will leverage Geely’s existing local operations and resources.

“Leveraging Geely’s established local operational foundation and resource capabilities in the Philippines, Lynk & Co will enhance its market responsiveness, accelerate product introduction and market expansion, and continuously address the evolving demands of local consumers for premium mobility,” the company said.

Geely Auto International Corporation ASEAN RHD Business Unit General Manager Ye Qin expressed gratitude to UAAGI—recognizing its role in establishing and developing the marque in the Philippines.

“Since Lynk & Co entered the Philippine market, UAAGI has actively driven the brand’s local market development, laying a foundation for expanding our presence and serving local consumers. The Philippines remains a crucial market for Lynk & Co’s long-term development,” Qin said.

As the premium Chinese marque prepares for a brand refresh and product expansion in the local market, GMP said that it will expand Lynk & Co’s product range as well as strengthen its sales and service infrastructure.

“Moving forward, we will continue to increase our investment in the Philippine market, enrich our product lineup, optimize our sales and service infrastructure, and enhance user experience, delivering better mobility experiences tailored to local consumer needs,” Qin added.

Leading the brand’s new product offensive will be the Lynk & Co 900, which will serve as the first model introduced under GMP’s operating framework.

The full-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) is the marque’s flagship model and is expected to further strengthen its presence in the local premium SUV segment.

The Lynk & Co 900 is positioned as a family-oriented flagship, with the model focusing on space, comfort, safety, and technology. The company describes it as offering “a refined experience that seamlessly balances comfort and smart capabilities for family premium travel.”

GMP has yet to announce the local specifications, pricing, and launch date of the 900. However, the flagship SUV is already available in overseas markets, providing a preview of what Lynk & Co’s next chapter in the Philippines could bring.
