Honda City 2014 gets built-in navigation

2014 Honda City

Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) announced the arrival of its newest variant to the ever popular subcompact sedan series, the Honda City. The 2014 edition will get an upgrade that includes an Audio-Visual Navigation (AVN) system called the E Navi+. A brand new unit with manual transmission will costs P816,000 and a unit equipped with a CVT drivetrain is valued at P856,000.

The said new variant has 3D mapping with different modes such as route information view, lane assist with real-time junction views, and an expressway exit guide. Honda has also integrated an AVN system into the their new edition, providing customers with Honda sales and service locations around the country to quickly search for dealers or mechanics that could repair or maintain their City.

Looking back, the “All New City” under the VX and VX+ trim is already equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen audio display which comes with Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition control and a hands-free telephone (HFT). The same features are included on the much cheaper variants that comes with the standard DVD video playback and in-dash CD player with iPod access.

This innovative technology is further accentuated by the navigation software developer Sygic. The partnership has allowed the VIN to integrate mobile navigation applications through the vehicle’s display audio.

This amazing device adds P60,000 more onto the base price of the E variants of the regular Honda City.
