Hyundai grows 14% in Interbrand global ranking

Hyundai Motor Company recently announced that its Interbrand global brand value grew 14 percent year-over-year to $17.3 billion (P1.012 trillion) in 2022.

As a result, the South Korean automotive brand secures 35th place for the second straight year while marking its eighth consecutive year among the top 40 brands.

Of the top 40 companies in Interbrand’s list this year, only six are from the automotive industry. They are Toyota in sixth place, Mercedes-Benz in eighth place, Tesla in 12th place, BMW in 13th place, Honda in 26th place, and Hyundai in 35th.

Hyundai believed that the key factors in Interbrand’s positive appraisal of the company include its strategic focus on electric vehicles (EVs), expansion of its future mobility vision into metamobility, and its proactive environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management — all underlining its future-proof business feasibility and competitiveness compared to other automotive brands during a major paradigm shift in the industry.
