Many enthusiasts can produce a list of Japan-exclusive cars that they wish would go worldwide. The recently launched Bentley Continental GT V8 Equinox will likely join their list.

Created by Bentley Mulliner, the Continental Equinox is a monochromatic mix of black, silver, and white. The car can either be optioned in a Black Onyx and Glacier White paint jobs — both of which highlight the car's body shape and sweeping power line that runs around the car, Bentley said.

Mulliner is the world's oldest coach builder, and has helped create Bentley models since 1923.

The Continental GT Equinox also includes a black front splitter, a rear diffuser, trunk lip spoiler, and side sills that bear Bentley's signature wings. Meanwhile, 22-inch dark metallic Tungensten wheels underpin the GT.

The monochrome color theme continues inside. Silver accents in the headrests and seat edge panels complement the Beluga main hide, while silver stitching thread to the seats and steering wheel is mirrored in dual finish veneers featuring Piano Moonbeam over Grand Black hues.

Bentley said that the painted veneer is sprayed by hand, "with care taken to ensure that the amount of light reflected at different angles from the metallic paint surfaces are consistent panel to panel across the car set."

Mood lighting, illuminated sill plates, silver accent stitches on the diamond quilted seats, and deep pile Mulliner floor mats all add to the ultra-luxury ambience.

The Continental GT Equinox is far from being an all-show and no-go kind of car. This grand tourer is powered by a twin-turbo 4-liter V8 that produces 550hp and 770Nm of torque, which can propel the car from zero to 100kph in four seconds.

Enthusiasts have every right to envy wealthy Japanese Bentley customers.
