LTO nabs fixers in Camarines Sur

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) announced that its nationwide campaign against fixers has been further intensified.

The announcement was made following the arrest of two suspected fixers in Pamplona, Camarines Sur.

The two suspects, aged 74 and 34 years, were reportedly caught in the act of conducting illegal activities through an entrapment operation in the province.

Both are currently facing violations of Section 12 of Republic Act 9485 (also known as the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007).

LTO Assistant Secretary Jose Arturo Tugade lauded LTO Region 5 Regional Director Francisco Ranches, Jr. and Assistant Regional Director Vincent Nato for their efforts to rid the agency of erring individuals. He also assured the series of operations against all erring activities surrounding the agency.

Further, Tugade also appealed to the public not to patronize the services offered by fixers.

The LTO chief reiterated that getting a driver's license or vehicle registration illegally will only endanger the driver, its occupants and other road users.
