Aside from focusing on accelerating the push for the use of commercial EVs in the country, the forum also featured panel discussions that talked about issues on the shift to commercial EVs as well as the efforts that businesses took to achieve their sustainability targets by integrating electrified delivery services in their supply chain operations.

Participants of the discussion acknowledged that while the shift to commercial EVs presents challenges, the opportunities to reduce emissions and improve supply chain efficiency can be key factors that merit an investment.

The panel included Department of Transportation (DOTr) Undersecretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure Jesus Ferdinand Ortega, DOTr Project Evaluation Officer III Zion Yuson, National Development Company Undersecretary and General Manager Anton Mauricio, Clime Capital Country Manager Rachel Santiago-Sacro, and Mober Chief Commercial Officer Wai Chew Chia.

A second panel was staged, which talked about strategies for achieving sustainability goals through greener logistics practices. The participants expressed enthusiasm for integrating more EVs into their supply chains, aligning their efforts with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

It consisted of IKEA Philippines Fulfillment Business Developer Severino De Robles, Kuehne+Nagel General Manager Gerald Tulud, Nestlé Philippines Head of Supply Chain and Procurement Anderson Martins, and Rustan Coffee Corporation (Starbucks) Senior Supply Chain Manager Mark Valle.
