New Nissan Navara comes with 5-year warranty

The Nissan Navara has brought in several segment-firsts to the pickup market,  such as its own suite of intelligent driving tech. Now it will offer a five-year/ 150,000-kilometer warranty as well.

Nissan Philippines said that the included warranty for every purchase of the new Navara is not only a first in the Nissan lineup, but the local pickup market as well. The five-year warranty will apply to any variant of the Navara.

The five-year warranty covers mechanical and electrical parts for another two years, or for the next 50,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, Nissan said. It also added to the brand's standard three-year/100,000-km warranty offered with other Nissan cars.

This will provide customers protection from unexpected repair costs within the warranty duration, and ensure that customers will have access to Nissan genuine parts for mechanical, and electronic repairs.

"The five-year warranty gives our customers more confidence to fully enjoy the quality, durability, and reliability new Nissan Navara and take it on bolder adventures," said Nissan Philippines President and Managing Director Atsushi Najima.

"Combining this with the new ruggedly bold style, outstanding performance, improved toughness, and technologically advanced Nissan Intelligent Mobility features, the new Nissan Navara is truly driven by the brave," Najima added.

The Nissan Intelligent Mobility is a bevy of safety features that made its way in the new Navara. It includes Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, which monitors vehicles in front to reduce the risk of accidents. Intelligent Emergency Braking overrides the brakes to avoid or minimize impact.

The Intelligent Around View Monitor is a nifty gadget when the Navara is taken off road, as it checks surrounding obstacles at low speeds when in four-wheel drive mode.

The Navara update includes the new PRO-4X top-dog variant, which sports the new Navara's styling updates but with added touches. It includes an orange-accented front bumper, black grille, door handles, roof racks, running boards, and 17-inch black wheels shod in all-terrain tires.

Inside, the new Navara has a new steering wheel with audio, hands free, and multi-information display controls, dual-zone auto climate, a seven-inch Nissan Advanced Display Audio unit, new fabric and leather seat design, and a restyled rear bench.

Under the hood is where the 2.5-liter diesel engine with 187hp and 450Nm of torque resides, while lower trims get the same mill but with 160hp and 403Nm. The engines are paired with either a 7-speed auto or 6-speed manual, depending on trim.

Are you now interested in the tech-rich new Navara and its extended warranty? Prices start at P1,150,000, and end at P1,850,000 for the PRO-4X.
