Petron, Paymaya to raffle off year's worth of fuel

Petron Corporation has announced its latest campaign to strengthen cashless payment via PayMaya and in celebration of reaching of 1,000 stations equipped with Paymaya QR.

For the latest promotion — which will run until August 31 — Petron will be giving away three winners a year’s supply of fuel worth P60,000. Aside from that, 10 winners will each also receive P2,000 worth of PayMaya credits.

The partnership with PayMaya, Petron said, is “fueled by its commitment to promote safety and convenience at its service stations through innovative cashless technologies.”

To join, motorists need to gas up at any participating Petron station and pay using PayMaya QR. For every P100 spent on any Petron fuel (Xtra Advance, XCS, Blaze 100, Diesel Max, and Turbo Diesel), engine oil, or LPG products, a raffle entry is earned.

Qualified customers will receive a text notification for every successful transaction with the total raffle entries earned. Those who win in the electronic raffle will be notified via telephone call and registered mail.

Petron Marketing Division Head Perkin Chai is eyeing to further extend the partnership with the online payment platform to help ensure safety to station users and their workforce as well.

“We always make it a point to prioritize the welfare of our customers and to ensure that our stations remain a safe place for them, including offering contactless payment options. PayMaya has proven to be a valuable partner in elevating the level of safety at our stations and we look forward to strengthening our collaboration by introducing their technology in more locations,” he said.

Currently, Petron has the most number of stations in the Philippines that offer digital payment solutions from Paymaya.

Meanwhile, PayMaya Philippines Head of Growth Marketing Partnerships Heidi Garayblas noted the benefits of using cashless payment for motorists.

“Digital payment is fast becoming the norm and PayMaya QR provides a better experience for motorists in terms of safety, convenience, and rewards. We are happy to work with Petron in helping elevate the experience of their customers through our solutions,” Garayblas said.

However, Petron reminded those who will fuel up at Petron stations may also pay using debit, credit, or prepaid card or other e-wallet accounts through the One by PayMaya all-in-one point-of-sale (POS) device.

Further, Petron vowed to provide more ways to create safer and more rewarding journeys on the road as it boosts its presence more areas around the country.
