Shell PH Sends Off Delegates to 2018 Shell Eco-Marathon Asia

Pilipinas Shell recently held a send-off event at Clark International Speedway in Pampanga where Pinoy student-teams got the opportunity to consult Shell's technical experts and test their cars on track in preparation for the 2018 Shell Eco-marathon Asia.

More than 20 student-teams from all over the country are set to represent the Philippines in the prestigious energy-efficiency competition that is slated from March 8 to 11, 2018 at the Changi Exhibition Center in Singapore.

Several teams attended the send-off in Clark, composed of De La Salle University - Manila, De La Salle University - Dasmarinas, University of the Philippines - Diliman, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, University of Sto. Tomas, and University of the East.

Shell Vice President for External and Government Relations Ramon Del Rosario led the send-off ceremonies for the student-teams and the Shell technical inspection team.

The Shell Eco-marathon smarter mobility competition challenges the youth to design, build, and run cars that can run the farthest distance using the least amount of energy.
