Per MIPI, the fuel system that stirred the recall order is developed exclusively for vehicles produced for the North American market — adding that the North American-specific vehicles are equipped with a specialized sealed fuel system to comply with environmental regulations there.
Aside from that, the firm shared recalled fuel system component is not available in vehicles distributed by Motor Image Group.
“Vehicles sold in the Group’s markets are engineered to meet local regulatory and environmental standards and therefore carry different technical specifications,” MIPI explained.
“As such, the conditions cited in the North American recall do not exist in Subaru vehicles distributed by Motor Image Group. Consequently, these vehicles remain unaffected,” it added.

“Customers can be assured that Subaru vehicles sold in Motor Image Group markets fully comply with all applicable local safety and environmental regulations. Owners may continue to drive and refuel their vehicles with complete confidence,” the firm mentioned.
Since the Motor Image Group markets are not subject to this recall, no action is required from owners within the regions that they are present in.
