Suzuki Vitara: Variants explained

Suzuki may not yet be as big as other Japanese car companies like Nissan or Toyota, but with its latest offering, it aims to make a significant impact in the local subcompact crossover segment. The updated Suzuki Vitara is as sharp as it is smart, and is marketed towards young professionals who want a little adventure in their busy adult life. That said, Suzuki outfitted the Vitara with modern features and cutting-edge car tech coupled with rugged on-and-off road capabilities that can make the heart race — more than meeting a project deadline.

The Suzuki Vitara was initially offered in different variants, but a memo released sometime last year outlined that the Japanese car maker will no longer be importing Vitara variants from Magyar Suzuki Corporation in Hungary. Tax and pricing have made things more challenging for importing one of Suzuki’s longest-running nameplates, but it gave way to the new Vitara we have today.
