Toyota to bring Ativ nameplate in PH

The car is offered in two trims namely Premium and GR-Sport.In an interview, Toyota Motor Philippines First Vice President of Sales Operations Elijah Sue Marcial confirmed that the subcompact sedan will be brought here as the company is already in the planning stage, noting that the demand for new energy vehicles — particularly the hybrid category — is growing.
“We see that there is demand for more HEV vehicles. Thus, we are planning to introduce the Ativ soon. We'll share details once available,” Marcial told Carmudi Philippines.
Recently, Toyota Motor Thailand launched the latest version of the Yaris Ativ, which is the firm’s subcompact sedan offering for its market.
Should it be formally introduced to the Philippines, the Ativ could have the same treatment as the Zenix is to the Innova.

Offered in two variants namely Premium and GR Sport, the latest Thai-retailed Toyota Yaris Ativ is fitted with a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder, in-line double overhead cam, 16-valve, hybrid engine with dual variable valve timing with intelligence technology (2NR-VEX) —matched to a permanent magnet synchronous motor and 0.76 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery.

- Dark chrome upper grille and metallic grey lower grille
- 16-inch alloy wheels
- 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity

On the other hand, the GR Sport variants comes with:
- Newly designed front grille featuring the GR logo and a full GR-S body kit (front bumper skirt, side skirt set, rear bumper skirt and rear spoiler)
