Training Wheels (pt. 2 of 3): Honda’s 2018 Price List Revealed Post-TRAIN Law
Last December 19, 2017, President Rodrigo Duterte signed the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) bill into law. It sought to reduce tax on personal income while simultaneously imposing a higher tax on fuel, tobacco, sugary beverages, and cars. With the signing of the law, the increase in vehicle excise tax became official.
The good news is, not all vehicle prices increased. Some remained the unchanged, while others even saw a significant drop. Pickups in particular, were excluded from the new excise tax schedule.
