Following the regional reveal last August in Asia, the Land Rover Defender D240 will start rolling on Philippine (on- and off-) roads starting first quarter of next year.
This vehicle, which will come in two body types (90 and 110) are both powered by a D240 twin turbocharged diesel engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
To make the ride more refined, the Land Rover Defender is fitted with independent front and rear suspensions with adaptive dynamics and has all-terrain capabilities as well as the all-wheel drive system, which the Land Rover is known for.
However, unlike the previous generation, the New Defender has a lightweight aluminium monocoque construction.
Both Defender body frames, are available in four designs: Urban, Country, Adventure, and Explorer.
Coventry Motors Corporation President Chris Ward expressed excitement over the news.

Further, All British Cars (ABC), the official dealer of Land Rover vehicles, parts, and accessories in the Philippines, is now accepting pre-orders for the New Defender 110 and Defender 90.
In its statement, ABC said that the pre-orders started November 6 and assured that the delivery of units will start by early first quarter of 2021.

The two Defender wheelbases are powered by 2.0 liter twin turbo diesel engine capable of dishing out 240 horsepower and 430 Nm of pulling power mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
