The Yamaha Sniper is a moped motorcycle with what its manufacturer calls as “blade design”. The Sniper is an easy-to-own motorbike equipped with Yamaha’s latest scientific advancements which they called as Neo technologies.

Design of the Sniper

This underbone motorcycle sports an innovative and edgy exterior fitted in a diamond-type frame. This is mated with a telescopic front suspension and a swingarm on its rear. Scaling in at only 103 kilograms in dry weight, the lightweight Sniper runs on a constant mesh 4-speed transmission and comes with a multiple-disc clutch.

It is currently available in four color schemes: black metallic, blue metallic, deep red metallic and a deep purplish blue metallic.

The Sniper’s blade design allows it to perform better through improved aerodynamics which Yamaha dubs as “an expression of a slicing motion.” It is coupled with a hydraulic single disc front brake and drum-type in its rear.

Staying true its definition of refinement, the Sniper has impressive features such as a 3D instrument panel with gear position lamp, a rubber mount seat which offers low vibration and fine cushioning, a 5-light front mask design for better illumination and a rear combination tail lamp which Yamaha says was inspired by a jewellery box design.

A brand new Yamaha Sniper is valued at P94,200 and a used or second hand unit can be bought for P70,000 and below for 2010 models and older, depending on its general condition and mileage.
