As a parent with a fixed budget, I opted for the Kaiyi E5, and it seemed to be a practical choice. The subsidies, along with the purchase price, made ownership affordable. The running costs of this car are lower than my older petrol car. Everyone in my family loves the quiet rides. For groceries and booster seats, the rear space is decent, though rear headroom seems to be a bit snug for taller teenagers. In city school-run conditions, the regenerative braking has proven to be very helpful. It gives better range figures than my expectations, and the driving aids are more than enough for suburban traffic.
