A mixed bag
Our ownership experience of the Toyota Hiace has been a mixed bag. The travelling comfort is good, and that’s what our clients have said. But the Hiace is a fuel guzzler. That increases the cost of maintenance. We have already replaced the tires twice in less than 25,000km run. The pickup is slow. But once it gets the steam, the Hiace is a very able performer. There’s not much of driving comfort. But then, the Toyota Hiace isn’t meant for long distance travelling. It can be operated as a contract carriage intra-city.
