Used Toyota Innova
The Toyota Innova is a compact asian utility vehicle (AUV) primarily produced in Indonesia. This seven seater vehicle is the best selling model in its segment, with more than 10,000 brand new units sold in the Philippines in 2013 alone.
Because of its popularity, Toyota has extended the number of its variants. However, it still follows Toyota’s trim level scheme of basic trim J, mid-level trim E, high level G, and top-of-the-line V. The Innova also runs on either diesel or gasoline and has two optional powertrains- a 2.0 liter and a 2.5 liter.
Second hand Innova
The Innova was first released by its Japanese manufacturer in 2004. It replaced the aging Toyota Revo in the MPV class. It received initial facelifts in 2009 and 2011. In 2013, its third facelift included a new trunk garnish, a larger front grille and redesigned bumpers. It also comes with standard features such as dual airbags and a four-spoke steering wheel for all trim levels.
This vehicle has four engine option- a 2.0 liter gas or diesel engine and a 2.5 liter gas or diesel engine. The former provides 102 horsepower and the latter, 136 horsepower and have an acceleration of 0-100 kilometers in 8 and 16 seconds, respectively. On average the Innova has a fuel consumption of 14 km/L in highway conditions.
The Innova’s features
This five-door APV has a practical design with features such as ABS, a driver airbag, halogen lights, and steering locks for all its trim levels. The E trim has power features, as does the G trim which also has a leather interior. The top-of-the-line V trim has all of the previous trim features plus dual climate control, an advance audio system and captain chairs.
Price range of second hand Innovas
According to our listings, a used Toyota Innova can cost from P300,000 (for 2004 and older units) to more than P1 million (for one year old units built in 2013). These prices are subject to change depending on the vehicle’s trim level, year built, general condition and mileage.
Competitors in the market
While the Innova is considered the third best selling car model in the Philippines, it is met by tough competition from other AUVs such as the Isuzu Crosswind and Mitsubishi Adventure.
