Brembo reveals CCM-R Plus disc

Brembo has revealed its new product, the CCM-R Plus disc, at the recently held Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas.

According to the Italian brake solutions brand, the Brembo CCM-R Plus disc is a product intended for use in demanding situations such as racing and motorsports for sportscars and hypercars.

The Brembo CCM-R Plus disc — the Curno-based brand pointed out — is the product of many years of experience accumulated by the company in the field of carbon brake materials used in Formula 1, combined with the expertise acquired by the firm in CCM applications for road use.

Drivers who will be using the Brembo CCM-R Plus disc can expect two things: increased durability and wear reduction for both the disc braking surface and the pads as well as improved friction coefficient resulting in higher and more stable friction with no pre-bedding required.

In the company’s portfolio, the new Brembo CCM-R Plus disc will alongside the existing Performance CCM-R disc and can be used in conjunction with organic race pads.

“Brembo CCM-R Plus disc has been designed to show its true colors in endurance applications, and wherever there is the need to disperse substantial amounts of energy, while delivering exceptional durability and unfaltering performance,” Brembo said in a press release.

“Selected materials and original processes, researched and optimized to produce the Brembo CCM-R Plus disc, reflect the state of the art in technologies applied to carbon ceramic discs and have led to the creation of a product with superior engineering features,” it added.
