    CAMPI President Atty. Rommel Gutierrez

According to CAMPI president Rommel Gutierrez, the sales increase can be attributed to the promotional campaigns and new model introductions in August. “We recorded the highest monthly sales performance in September, and we hope that a positive consumer outlook will be sustained in Q4”, he added.

Propelling the positive sales performance last month was the commercial vehicle segment. Under the said category, CAMPI and TMA sold 234,834 units last January-September — which is made up of nearly three-fourths of the entire automotive year-to-date sales in the country. The sales volume is also 24.8-percent more versus the 188,096 vehicles delivered to clients during the same period for the previous year.

On the other hand, passenger cars comprised the remaining 25.41 percent of the market. Selling 80,009 units from the start of the year up to the end of September 2023, the aforementioned category posted a 33.2-percent growth when compared to the 60,058 vehicles sold in the full nine months of the year.
